We are looking for a junior designer to join our architecture and interior design team. The primary role of a Junior designer is to support the design staff in developing projects and executing NW design standards. junior designers will grow their professional skills while gaining experience in all facets of the architecture and interior design process.
this role:
Work closely with upper level designers to communicate design ideas to clients
assist in all aspects of the design process including space planning, finish / fixture / furniture selection, custom furniture design, communication with fabricators / vendors, 3D modeling of spaces
create design documents for clients and contractors
participate in internal and external design presentations
contribue to the culture and overall success of notherworld projects
preferred skills and experience
Degree in interior design / architecture
proficient in adobe creative suite, autocad, sketchup, google drive, and Mac products
skilled verbal and written communication skills
flexibility in working with various design styles and processes
located in Seattle or willing to relocate to seattle
3 - 5 years experience at an architecture or interior design studio
this is a remote position and requires a minimum of 40 hours per week. applicant must be available for in person meetings in the Seattle area.
