  • We are looking for an entry level junior designer to join our architecture and interior design team. The primary role of a Junior designer is to support the design staff in developing projects and executing NW design standards. junior designers will grow their professional skills while gaining experience in all facets of the architecture and interior design process.

    this role:

    • Work closely with upper level designers to communicate design ideas to clients

    • assist in all aspects of the design process including space planning, finish / fixture / furniture selection, custom furniture design, communication with fabricators / vendors, 3D modeling of spaces

    • create design documents for clients and contractors

    • participate in internal and external design presentations

    • contribue to the culture and overall success of notherworld projects

    preferred skills and experience

    • Degree in interior design / architecture

    • proficient in adobe creative suite, autocad, sketchup, google drive, and Mac products

    • skilled verbal and written communication skills

    • flexibility in working with various design styles and processes

    • located in Seattle or willing to relocate to seattle

    this is a remote position and requires a minimum of 40 hours per week. applicant must be available for in person meetings in the Seattle area.

The primary role of a mid-level designer is to help manage design projects from beginning to end, and support the creative director in developing projects and executing NW design standards. mid-level designers will grow their professional skills while gaining experience in all facets of the architecture and interior design process. this is a robust role requiring a variety of responsibilities and tasks.

    this role:

    • Work closely with creative director to communicate design ideas to clients

    • manage all aspects of the design process including space planning, finish / fixture / furniture selection, custom furniture design, communication with fabricators / vendors / clients, 3D modeling of spaces

    • create design documents for clients and contractors

    • create budgets and schedules for projects of different scales

    • collaborate and delegate with the junior design staff

    • participate in internal and external design presentations

    • contribue to the culture and overall success of notherworld projects

    preferred skills and experience

    • Degree in interior design / architecture

    • 5+ years working in interior design or architecture

    • proficient in adobe creative suite, autocad, sketchup, google drive, and Mac products

    • skilled verbal and written communication skills

    • flexibility in working with various design styles and processes

    • located in Seattle or willing to relocate to seattle
